In late 1980, YMO appeared on NBC's 'Soul Train' show, presented by Don Cornelius. YMO were one of the few white acts to appear on the show, and perhaps the only Asian group to make an appearance! They mimed to Tighten' Up and Firecracker, and were interviewd by Don in between the songs. For a long time, the only recording of this performance was from a very worn-out tape that seems to be from the Japanese broadcast of the show (I guess 'Soul Train' was watched by many people in Japan as Yuki said!), as it includes Japanese subtitles. In 2006(?) ??? rebroadcast the performance (is it missing Firecracker? i'm not sure), although these rebroadcast copies can be spotted by the logo in the top right(?) corner of the screen.
